This thing I refer to as My Life

My loving wife actually read the blog…and she claims that I took too much artistic license with the last entry. I admit that I tried to pare down the story just a touch but I challenged her to construct her own version of the events. So, if you're lucky, there may be an ML version of the cheeser-sheets coming. Maybe.

When good softness goes horribly bad

ML's ex-boss, at some point, gave ML a small stuffed mouse called Cheeser. It is remarkable soft and so we referred to things as being Cheeser-soft.

We were shopping at ML's favorite store, TJ-Maxx. Okay, well, maybe it is not her favorite, but rather mine, at least for kitchen and bath supplies. Several months ago, we (I) was groping some fluffy towels which I convinced ML we should get. She thought they would not be absorbent, but they were: At least eventually. They are now affectionately known as the Cheeser-towels and we cheer when they are up in the rotation.

A few weeks ago, she discovered a blanket that was a Cheeser-soft velvet-like material. She looked at me and said, "Wouldn't you like to sleep on this?" I shrugged my shoulders. Thus, suddenly, there were three blankets in the cart: one king and two twins. Actually, I think I said, "What about all of the flannel we have? Do we really need more bedding?" To which ML replied, "Did you feel this?"

We (she) put the king blanket on mattress and we slept under the twin Cheeser-sheets. (Yes, we have two sets of covering sheets so when I roll over (AKA "rotisserize") she does not get uncovered.) The problem is, however, the Cheeser-sheets feel so snuggly that we don't want to get out of bed anymore. I cannot describe what it is like, but it is yummy! It makes you want to squirm around in bed just to feel how fluffy soft they are. Autumn Hill is the brand (they seem to be out of business), if you want to check out your local TJ Maxx. We already have two sets. There are other brands in our store which are really close but not quite as soft.

We got a little glaze of ice last night. This has been the first sign of winter almost all winter long. Fortunately, all of our power lines are run underground and, so, we did not have any interruption in service.

The interview trail continues until the end of this month. Unfortunately, I have caught a "little" cold from one of my fellow applicants and I am trying to get myself better before Wednesday. I don't think it's going to pass in that short amount of time so I have stocked up on Ricola for the trip. Tomorrow should be fun because there are three of us that all have interviews on the same day in the same place and we're all staying at the same hotel! I'm on a different flight, but I'll wait for my compatriots to land so we can traverse the city of Philadelphia together! (We are all applying to different residencies, too.)

Oh, did I mention that earlier last week I had food poisoning?! It was messy, but over quickly: if you know what I mean.
